All teams start by building their own kart (soap box), but they still have to win the materials to build the kart. Teams therefore play different games to win coins. The coins won are collected in the team's Fuel meter. At 'half full' a team can choose from a table with soap box materials. One soap box is pink, the next is black and white checkered and has a thick exhaust, yet another soap box has an extra Mario Kart outfit, etc.. Whoever reaches 'half full' first can make a choice! Then the soap boxes are built, but playing the games remains important. The team with the most coins in the Fuel meter will get a head start in the race! In Build a Kart like Mario, first-class materials are used and reused! So you are going to build a kart with M16 bolts, construction materials and a strong frame. With hardwood beams, stainless steel wheel axles, lacquered side panels and sturdy buggy wheels you complete the soap box.

In the final, the teams have to race against each other in the time race with playful assignments. This is guaranteed to be fun to watch! The race determines which team Build a Kart like Mario wins.
